Women's Study Bible

I recently had the chance to check out a new Study Bible for women (thank you B&H Publishing!)...and give two of my girlfriends their own copy!

I love that there are Bible apps available that enable us to carry the Bible with us anywhere, but there is something so intimate about sitting down with the Word of God actually in your hands, with pages to turn. I will never, ever give up my Bible in lieu of an app. (That being said, I do frequently use my Bible app. I'm not anti Bible apps.:))

A good study Bible is crucial for me when I sit down to study His Word. I enjoy digging deeper into the Word and love the ability to cross reference Scripture. I wanted to share with you some of the things I really enjoyed about the new Study Bible for Women, in case you're wanting to purchase a study Bible.

The Bible itself was beautiful, with a rich sky blue & burgundy leather on the outside.

Once you open the pages, you find it full of great study tools, written by women, for women!

One thing I love to learn about is the context of when a book was written, who wrote the book, the time period it was written in, etc. I love the way this Bible displays a timeline at the introduction of each book. It also provides answers to great introduction questions and an outline of the book.

While you don't have to have a study Bible to dig deeper into the Word, I have found it to be incredibly beneficial in my walk with the Lord. If you are on the hunt for a good study Bible, I think this could be the perfect fit for you!

Crock Pot Stew

It's no secret that I love my crock pot. I mean, what's better than putting dinner on in the morning, going about your day and having it ready for you when dinner time rolls around?! I'm all over it!

Many years ago I came across this recipe we have named Crock Pot Stew. I was actually searching the internet for a recipe similar to a dish my grandma makes that is so good. I thought I hit the jackpot with this recipe. Although I did find an awesome recipe, it's not my grandma's dish. But that's ok because this has become a family favorite! I hope you enjoy it too!

 

 

 



Clearly it's a super easy recipe, which makes it even better in my book! It's so creamy and flavorful. You could even leave the onion out, if you're not an onion fan. In fact, I made this recently for our sweet friends Andrew and Angela after they welcomed their precious little guy and I left the onions out just in case it bothered the baby. Thank you...and a Giveaway!

So, I am having so much fun blogging and getting to know you better that I thought this would be the perfect time to do a giveaway and say "Thank You!" for following along and reading my blog. :) I am thankful for YOU!

Although my blog has been around for several years, I only haphazardly blogged for much of that time. This past May, though, I decided I wanted to regularly blog and I haven't regretted that decision. It's so neat how you can build a friendship with somebody you've never met in person. I look forward to getting to know you better and better!
