32 weeks and back pain

That's right!! We are down to 8 more weeks! I think I've hit the stage where I'm just ready to have him out. Unfortunately, my back hurts almost all the time. I cannot seem to find a comfortable position to sleep no matter how many pillows I have or how I arrange them, which means I don't sleep well. Any suggestions?

  1. OH FRIEND! I feel your pain!! I was always more comfortable laying on my side, but at the end of my pregnancy, I was just never comfortable. You can do it and just think, in eight short weeks, you'll be able to go a whole FOUR HOURS without having to pee. Oh man. It's amazing! You can do it!!

And you still look adorable. :)

  2. Unfortunately, I don't think there is a remedy. I had the same problem. I slept with a pillow supporting my stomach, one on my back, and one in between my knees. I couldn't stay on one side for very long, so I would just switch back and forth all night. I guess it gets you used to not getting a lot of sleep once Collin is here. :) It's no fun, I know!

  3. Whoa! Your little belly popped!! Can you tell the major difference between your 31 wk pic and your 32 wk pic?? I'm sure you can...

Maybe this is a good time for you to enlist the help of Robert--make him rub your back...just keep reminding him that you're carrying HIS child (in a pitiful voice). Also when you lay on your side, PILE--and I mean PILE--the pillows between your legs (sometimes I'd put as many as 4 between my legs!)...the higher the better.

  4. There seems to be quite a change from 31 to 32 weeks or is it just the photo? Collin seems to be making his presence more pronounced. You look great and I'm sorry you can't sleep. I'm with Jessica. The more pillows, the better. Hang in there.

  5. will you're dr okay Tylenol PM. I took it with all three babies... but the end is just hard. You're almost there and the relief when Collin arrives will be well worth it all!

  6. With Ashley I had to sleep in the recliner for the last month--we just moved it into our room and I slept in it next to the bed. With Abigail I just piled up the pillows.

  7. I know you only have 8 weeks left, but I bought the Snugglie pillow - it was a big body pillow that curved like a big C. It was THE BEST THING EVER for me. I got it at Babies R Us. Brian thought it was pretty intrusive in our bed, but it gave me many many good nights of sleep! Hope you get some relief soon. You are just so stinkin' cute!

  8. I found you through Katies blog and have been a lurker throughout your pregnancy. I'm 22 weeks and already sleep is beginning to be uncomfortable... I can only imagine. No advice yet, but keep on going... you are almost there!
